On 18 April 2013, upon the invitation of the Slovenian Association Cankar Sarajevo, members of the Association “Triglav” from Banja Luka, together with other members of Slovenian associations in BiH, took part at marking the 20th anniversary of restoring the activity of Association Cankar from Sarajevo.
The twentieth anniversary was marked by a formal observance at which association’s choir Camerata Slovenica and students of Supply Teaching Lessons of Slovenian made a performance. The attendees were informed about the activities of the association by a member of steering board Dina Maksumić and former president Stane Koblar.
Formal observance was attended by ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in BiH Mr. Grasselli, Minister for Slovenians Abroad Tina Komel, head of office Sandi Bonaca, senior adviser Aleš Selan, mayor of Sarajevo and many guests.
On the occasion of celebrating the jubilee the association Cankar awarded thank-you notes for the assistance in implementing projects to Slovenian Emigrant’s Association, Society for the Development of Voluntary Work Novo mesto and Slovenian associations from Tuzla and Banja Luka.
