Our Mixed choir Davorin Jenko again this year participated at two events in Šentvid pri Stični: Saturday concert of Slovenian choirs from other countries and the 48th Gathering of Slovenian choirs.
Saturday concert took place on 17 June 2017 in the hallway of the Elementary School Ferdo Vesel. Slovenian choirs from abroad performed at the concert (Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Italy and BiH).
Motto of the 48th Gathering of Slovenian choirs remains clear: Let the people sing! The topic of all songs selected for the 48th Gathering was »WE HAVE JOLLY TIME«.
Prior to the central event of Sunday, at 12.00 a line of participants gathered and paraded through Šentvid pri Stični. There followed a formal speech of the director of Public Fund for Cultural Activities Marko Repnik. At 13.15 more than 1500 singers sang together lead by conductor Igor Švara.
