In May 2017, children attending the supply teaching lessons of Slovenian were guests of their peers from Elementary School F. Prešeren and Grammar School F. Prešeren in Kranj. Friendship and desire for cooperation among schools emerged.

The Association Triglav Banjaluka was happy to hear about the initiative on mutual networking among schools.

Several months after the visit to Kranj, on 20 October 2017, pupils and students from Kranj, together with their teachers, visited their peers in Banjaluka. Teachers were guests of the Association Triglav, and pupils and students were hosted by children attending supply teaching lessons of Slovenian. A two-day visit was dedicated to visiting the Elementary School Ivo Andrić and Grammar School, as well as the city and its vicinity and socialising.

After the guests returned to Slovenia they started communication via e-mail and interest was shown by four elementary schools from Kranj. The Association Triglav offered part of their services. Our proposal was that the school managements agree on the date of joint implementation of schools of Kranj and Banjaluka, while the date could be adapted so that they can attend the marking of St. Martin's Day (Martinovanje) organised by the Association Triglav every year.

Successful agreement among Slovenian schools – ES Predoslje, ES Jakoba Aljaža, ES Matije Čopa and ES F. Prešeren with elementary schools of Banjaluka – ES Branko Radičević, ES Branko Ćopić, ES Holandija, Slatina and ES Ivo Andrić and a joint, pleasant and nice evening spent at Martinovanje.

Their cooperation will continue already this year, as they said, in early December in Kranj. Our Association wishes to pupils and teachers of both cities a lot of success and strong friendship.
