Pupils and students of Supply teaching lessons present Slovenian language and literature every year at the Children Library Borik in Banja Luka. Head of Section Ms. Aleksandra Čvorović invites pupils of neighbouring schools who are always interested in lessons we prepare.

February is the month of culture, and we therefore decided to talk about France Prešeren. On Friday, 23 February, the library hosted pupils of 9th grade of Elementary School Branko Ćopić. Pupils were greeted by Aleksandra Čvorović and a representative of the Association of Slovenians Triglav Marija Petković. Iva Potkonjak spoke about the life of France Prešeren, while his work was presented by Aleksandra Špehar. Barbara Hanuš read poem Zdravljica in Slovenian, while Aleksandra Špehar read the translation into Serbian. Pupils and students got their working sheets and it turned out they did not have problems in solving. We asked them several questions and promptly heard proper answers. We checked their understanding of Slovenian by asking them to tell us the story of Urška and vodyanoy after they had heard the poem Vodyanoy. Did Urška survive? Where did she live with the vodyanoy? We did all that in the last part of the lesson when pupils said how they imagined the continuation of the poem. We all laughed at their original ideas.

We enjoyed having doughnuts at the end of the presentation of Prešeren and his work. Impressions from the event is available at the website of Children Library Borik:  https://www.facebook.com/djecijabiblioteka.borik/
