On 15 June, members of our Association took part in the conclusion of Culture Week 2018 in Novo mesto.
Visitors were greeted in front of the Library Miran Jarec with good music, interesting food and written event – performed by representatives of different cultures living in Slovenia. The gathered people were welcomed by mayor of Novo mesto Gregor Macedoni.
The event on the stage started by children programme, prepared by Roma and Albanian children: puppetry play Mojca Pokrajculja, dance Dancing Dreams and fashion show Sweet Fashion. This was followed by singers and musicians Aida Čorbadžić, Music Orchestra Kakanj, Choir Sarajevo … There were many stands where different nations (Bosniaks, Serbs, Macedonians, Russians, Albanians, Montenegrin, Kocevar, Indians, Syrians and Slovenians) presented themselves with cuisine, national costumes and items from own countries.
