The book worm is the main protagonist of The Journey of a Book, and in cooperation with the Society of Readers of Slovenia, the project was created by the Public Agency for the Book of the Republic of Slovenia.

The exhibition of The Journey of a Book is travelling to schools and libraries, and on February 8th it came to Banja Luka, together with its authors Žiga X. Gombač and David Krančan and project leader Tjaša Urankar. On Saturday, February 9, guests from Slovenia prepared two literary and art workshops at the National Minorities Club in Banja Luka. We were introduced to the journey of a book from the author to the reader, and especially the comic - from the idea to the writing of the text and drawing illustrations. The first workshop was intended for pupils and students.

The story of The Journey of a Book is printed in a detailed booklet and on posters. Students of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian read the booklet even before the arrival of the author. The book is just an object on the shelf, if nobody reads it. How do books get closer to the young? The writer Žiga X. Gombač and illustrator David Krančan used interesting literary and visual puzzles through stories, written in the form of comic books, which was a great motivation for creation. The children and the young enjoyed drawing comic books, the authors helped them with the idea, and happily noticed how devoted young people began to work. We are glad that we are part of The Journey of a Book project, and in Banja Luka on February 8th and 9th we had the cheerful Prešeren Days.
