On Friday 18, 2019, a lecture on the topic "Architectural Heritage of the 20th Century in Slovenia" was held at the City Hall of the Banski dvor in Banja Luka.

The development of Slovenian architectural creation from the beginning of the 20th century to the end of the 1980' was discussed by Breda Mihelič, PhD, from the Urban Planning Institute of Slovenia from Ljubljana. Through an overview of the most important works of Ivan Vurnik, Jože Plečnik and Edvard Ravnikar, as well as their students and contemporaries, the Banja Luka audience was presented with a dynamic period of development of Slovenian built space and creation of national identity through architecture and urbanism. The lecture concluded with an emphasis on the principles and guidelines for the valorisation and protection of the assets of the last century.
