The Association of the Slovenians of the RS Triglav Banja Luka marks twenty years of successful work this year. On that occasion, mayor of Banja Luka Igor Radojičić received a delegation from the Republic of Slovenia on Friday, 13 April 2018. The main topic was the cooperation in different areas.
All those learning Slovenian in supply teaching lessons in BiH gathered on 24 and 25 March in Sarajevo. It was organised by the Union of Slovenian Associations in BiH “Europe Now”, and prepared by Slovenian association Cankar Sarajevo.
Pupils and students of Supply teaching lessons present Slovenian language and literature every year at the Children Library Borik in Banja Luka. Head of Section Ms. Aleksandra Čvorović invites pupils of neighbouring schools who are always interested in lessons we prepare.
Since school year 2015/16 there have been organised literary and art workshops for youth all over Slovenia under the auspices of the Public Fund of the Republic of Slovenia for Cultural Activities. The project was titled COLLAGE. Workshop mentors are Slovenian poet and writer Samo Dražumerič and illustrator Peter Škerl.
Valentine’s Day, a day for those in love, for the youth, for everyone who wishes to preserve optimism. On that occasion, a Concert for those in love was held on 11 February 2018 in Banski dvor in Banja Luka.
Info days were organised on 9 and 10 February in Slovenia. Future students filled up secondary schools and faculties, asking practical questions which they could use when choosing further education.
Nataša Pirih Svetina, PhD, from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Ljubljana was the guest at the Faculty of Philology in Banja Luka on Friday, 9 February.
The 8th February is the Slovenian cultural holiday, Prešeren's Day.
We have been in contact with students of Grammar School Ledina and their teachers Nina Levstik and Darinka Avbar Kosovelj for two years already.
