The Prnjavor municipality is one of small municipalities. Its specific characteristic is the composition of population living there. Different ethnic groups from Europe have settled there. Cultural and ethnic differences in that area left a special impression.

Alliance of Slovenian Associations in BiH „Europe Now“ and Association of citizens of Slovenian origin Tuzla, organised the 4th Regional Art Colony „Slovenians in Tuzla 2017“ from Monday 14 August to Saturday 19 August 2017.

Among 42 pupils from 14 countries spending their summer vacation in learning Slovenian in Bohinj, there were also Nikša Perušić from Banjaluka and Nevena Gačić from Teslić.

From 23-29 July 2017 a summer school – Slovenian in a different way was organised by the Slovenian Migrant Association, Ministry of Education, Science and Sport and Institute for Education of the Republic of Slovenia.

„Welcome, welcome home, to all of you who came to Prekmurje, Murska Sobota and Rakičan for traditional gathering of Slovenians from all over the world“, were the welcoming words of the presenter.

On Saturday, 30 June in the village of Piskavica, the traditional 13th ethno festival Kozara etno 2017 was opened.
