On holiday, 27 April, we organised a Book Night in Banja Luka. We remembered other holidays linked with the book. 23 April is the World Book Day, 2 April, Andersen’s birthday and International Children’s Book Day.

The City of Banja Luka prepared a number of cultural events this year to observe the Day of Banja Luka. One of the events was the presentation of work and cultural activities of national minorities of the City of Banja Luka.

At the beginning of the school year, the Public Fund for Cultural Activities of the Republic of Slovenia invited all elementary schools active in the territory of regional office Novo mesto (municipalities of Novo mesto, Dolenjske Toplice, Straža, Šentjernej, Škocjan, Šmarješke Toplice, Mirna Peč and Žužemberk) to join the art competition.

Every year, part of the excursion of the Association of Slovenians Triglav is also the visit by pupils and students to their peers in Slovenia. Pupils, attending supply teaching lessons of Slovenian visited their peers in Elementary School bratov Polančičev, and students their peers in First Grammar School Maribor.

Every year, pupils and students of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian and members of the Association of Slovenian Triglav Banjaluka are eager to see where the spring excursion will take them. This year we went to Štajerska. We had three days for the visit.

As part of a very successful official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Prime Minister of Republic of Slovenia Miro Cerar met the representatives of Slovenian community in BiH on Monday, 10 April 2017.

Regional folklore gathering taking place in March and April throughout Slovenia organised by JSKD (Public Fund for Cultural Activities of Slovenia) is intended for the presentation of children, youth and adult folklore groups.

On 24 March 2017, the Association of Slovenians Triglav Banja Luka, in cooperation with Children’s Library Borik from Banja Luka, organised a workshop of the Slovenian language, for pupils of 3rd grade of Elementary School Vuk Stefanović Karadžić from Banja Luka.

For some years now the Mixed choir of the Association of Slovenians Triglav has performed as guests of Zdravko Ćosić's Ensemble at »Veče uz prim« concerts. This year they were invited as well.

Friday evening of 6 March 2017 was special to many inhabitants of Banja Luka as well as other fans of music who attended the concert of Slovenian zither quartet from Slovenia. The concert was organised by Slovenian Emigrants' Association and the Association of Slovenians Triglav Banja Luka.
