She has planned to take part in as many seminars as possible in order to obtain information relevant for projects. She will also collect information and ideas from Slovenian associations for joint activities which would contribute to the promotion and preservation of the Slovenian language, culture and tradition, based on which projects would be prepared and applications to EU calls for proposals filed.
In that regard, as early as on 3 and 4 February 2010 the coordinator participated in a seminar organized by the Consulting Company Revicon d.o.o. At the seminar, she has obtained information on project methodology required by the EU, the possibilities of obtaining grants, and also got necessary knowledge in the field of applying required EU procedures and instructions, as well as information about the very processing of project documents. In the course of lectures held by two consultants from Croatia who have vast experience in the project preparation and writing, and through their interactive approach, the participants had the opportunity to get insight into examples from their practice. That is significant because Croatia, as an EU Candidate Country has already gone through the components currently available to BiH (Potential Candidate), and therefore the consultants explained what mistakes might occur in the project preparation, writing and implementation. Croatia has some new components available, so their explanation how to prepare for such projects was more than useful.
