On the occasion of the Review of Cultural Creativity of National Minorities, a delegation from Slovenia composed of State Secretary of the Office of the Government of Slovenia for Slovenians Abroad Boris Jesih and Senior Adviser Aleš Selan visited Banja Luka on 30 September and 1 October. Beside the Association “Triglav” one of the hosts was the Head of Consular Office in Banja Luka Branko Zupanc.

During the visit, together with other diplomatic representatives of home countries of national minorities active in the Republic of Srpska the delegation was received by the Mayor of Banja Luka Dragoljub Davidović. On that occasion, the initiative by Mayor Davidović was discussed to build a national minorities’ centre and the possibilities to include home countries of RS national minorities in that project.

Visit of the delegation was very eventful. Beside attending the 8th Review of RS National Minorities, the delegation attended a class of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian where pupils spoke about what they had learned during lessons and presented themselves by the sketch as to how lessons can be fun too.

The delegation visited Slatina, attended the presentation of Slovenian culinary specialties as part of event “Taste of Tradition” and gathering of Slovenian choirs in Banja Luka and spent pleasant time with the members of Association “Triglav”.
