Banja Luka, 17 May

Association of Slovenians »Triglav« organised a concert entitled “A bouquet of coronations and basil intertwined by love” in the City Theatre »Jazavac« on 17 May 2013. Four groups of singers made performance at the concert.

It was the first time for the choir of Slovenian Association »Planika« from Zrenjanin to make performance in Banja Luka. The other two choirs from Slovenia, LPZ Medvode and Un's Trboul, have been guests in our city several times. Zdravko Ćosić’s ensemble needs not special presentation as it is very well known by the population of Banja Luka. Songs sang by that group accompanied by instrumentalists fill in halls of Banski dvor.

Concert moderator Nebojša Kuštrinović presented the groups and together with them made a bouquet of Slovenian folk songs, old city songs and love songs.

The concert was attended by a number of people including representatives from Slovenia and Zrenjanin from the Republic of Serbia and former ambassador of BiH and currently international relations advisor of the City of Banja Luka, Mr. Milan Balaban and consul of Consular Office of the Republic of Slovenia in Banja Luka Branko Zupanc.

Applause for the groups confirmed that the songs can bring us closer together and make us happy.
