Traditionally, the sports hall of the Elementary School Ferd Vesel was full in the eve of the 39th Festival of Slovenian choirs in Šentvid pri Stični. Many thought it was the time for the most prestigious event of the festival: concert of Slovenian border-area choirs.
There were as many as 10 choirs from border areas and the former Yugoslavia performing at the concert. Šentvid was once again visited by our mixed choir Davorin Jenko and child choir Mladi Jenkovci, together with Trio Fantastico.
Each choir presented themselves with three songs of their own choice. Our choir was accompanied by an instrumental group composed of young members of the Association under the name of Trio Fantastico (piano, cello and violin). The performance of the choir Davorin Jenko was enthusiastically welcomed. Commendations followed not only for singing but also for stage appearance of the choir members.
