In December days when the sky gets dark we want to see some light and feel nice atmosphere.
In many families they do some baking, make New Year’s decorations and greeting cards. We did all of that on the premises of the Association of Slovenians Triglav in Banja Luka.
On Saturday, 14 December, students of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian from Banja Luka and Slatina spent a creative morning. They took part at four workshops. Franci taught them how to bake doughnuts, they made Santa Clauses with Lenka, Aleksandra and Ivana helped them make New Year’s handkerchiefs, greeting cards and lampions, while they also made lampions with Barbara. Many original articles were made. Some will be decorating the premises of the Association, others were taken home by children while they ate doughnuts immediately after baking.
Children are very fond of such activities and that is the reasons why the Association of Slovenians Triglav prepares them on the occasion of Christmas and New Year’s holidays. In practical work children develop their hand skills, enjoy creative expression and relaxed socialising.
