On Thursday, 11 June, students of high schools and adult attendees of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian gathered at the literary evening of Andrej Rozman Roza.

Following his performance, we awarded certificates of attendance of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian and awards for those who had been diligent in reading throughout the year.

In Banja Luka, adult attendees are grouped as follows: beginners, intermediate and advanced courses. Among the activities, they are mainly looking forward to excursion, and this year we were in Dolenjska and Bela krajina. We diversified the programme by movie nights, we organised the Book Night, and at the final event we were visited by a Slovenian poet, writer, dramatist and actor Andrej Rozman Roza. His visit was organised by Readers’ Badge of Slovenia. Marija Petković welcomed the guest and other attendees on behalf of the Association of Slovenians “Triglav”.

In Banja Luka, readers’ badge is not only known to children but also to adults. Everyone read more than three recommended books and thus took part in the project Library – universe of treasure. Project has been implemented in cooperation with the Library of Anton Tomaž Linhart of Radovljica and the final event was also attended by the director of the library Božena Kolman Finžgar. She brought a lot of books and magazines because the summer is the time when a good book can make our days of holiday.

With Slovenian books and magazines students will be able to improve their vocabulary while some high school students and young adults will have a chance to improve their knowledge at the Youth Summer School of Slovenian in Ljubljana and at the Slovenian language course in Koper.
