The mixed choir of the Association Triglav "Davorin Jenko" from Banjaluka participated in the 51st Slovenian choir review in the small village of Šentvid pri Stični in the municipality of Ivančna Gorica.

As many as 80 choirs from Slovenia and abroad gathered, after a two-year break, in this Slovenian tame village near Novo Mesto, to continue with their song and fellowship where the corona virus of 2020 left off.

Choir "Davorin Jenko", which operates within the Association of Slovenians "Triglav" from Banjaluka, presented itself with three choral compositions: This is my home, Mravla and the old town song Autumn leaves.

Our choir, which has been performing at this most famous show of choirs in Slovenia for 18 years, received a warm and friendly welcome, and the performance was accompanied by thunderous applause.

The show of choirs began on June 18, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. with a ceremonial presentation of the participants in the hall of the Elementary School "Ferdo Vesel". One after another, singers from Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia took to the stage. After the performance, a gathering was arranged for all participants in front of the Fire Station.

On Sunday, June 19, the central event of this year's review was held at the elementary school stadium.

Traditionally, before the performance at the stadium, all participants formed a parade and walked from the Fire Station to the stadium.

On this occasion, we would like to pay tribute to our long-time member Tihomir Šobić, whose sudden death in 2020 surprised us all.

Until next time, a warm greeting accompanied by the motto "Let the singer sing his song".
