The Cultural Centre was filled with a number of visitors. We were accompanied by a representative of the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenians Abroad, Mr. Aleš Selan, a representative of the Emigrants’ Society, Mr. Janez Rogelj and other eminent people pf public and cultural life of Slovenia, as well as friends from Ljubljana and members of the Slovenian Association “Triglav” Banja Luka. The literary evening was rather ceremonial, along with gentle sounds of a guitar played by a young guitar player from Črnuče, and kind words by Mrs Nadja Mislej Božič from Sežana.
The success of the presentation was also a proof that the desire to connect with others are not merely words but also a sincere indicator of the mother country’s concern for the Slovenians living abroad.
During our visit our host organised a visit of Ljubljana. It was with great interest that we followed exhaustive presentation by Katja Jerman, PhD, on the city’s history and its sights, originating from different periods, which together with the new architecture depict present Ljubljana.
