The VIII ordinary electoral assembly of the Association of Slovenians of RS "Triglav" Banja Luka was held on September 27, 2020.

Respecting epidemiological measures and following the instructions of the competent authorities, about 50 members gathered at the assembly who, after the election of the working presidency and the president of the assembly, had the opportunity to hear the Report on the work of the Association of Slovenians of Republika Srpska "Triglav" for the period 2016-2019, Financial Report of the Association of Slovenians of the Republic of Srpska "Triglav" for the period 2016-2019 and the Report of the Supervisory Board of the Association of Slovenians of the Republic of Srpska "Triglav" for the period 2016-2019. It should be noted that all materials for the assembly were submitted in advance electronically.

During the presentation of the Report on the work presented by Ana Marjanović, the most important activities were mentioned, especially the work of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian language and all accompanying activities, then the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the choir "Davorin Jenko", marking the 20th anniversary of the Association and relocation to new premises. Also, the Financial Report was presented with all revenues and expenditures by year, while the Report on the work of the Supervisory Board, presented by Mira Dojčinović, stated that the Association had organized 238 activities in the reporting period, that all activities had been properly documented and all financial reports submitted to competent institutions on time. Regarding the work of all committees, the Supervisory Board stated that all committees had met their goals, and in particular stressed the need to improve the work of the Committee on Humanitarian and Social Affairs.

The Assembly unanimously adopted the said reports.

After the presented reports, we moved on to the point in the agenda related to the election of the President and Vice President of the Association, as well as members of the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board.
The President of the Assembly read the proposal of the names for the mentioned functions and the Assembly unanimously adopted it. Members of the Assembly for the period 2020-2022 are as follows: President of the Association and also a member of the Executive Board - Marija Grbić, Vice President of the Association and also a member of the Executive Board - Žana Pekić, members of the Executive Board - Anita Čemažar Marković, Dražena Bubonjić, Boris Katan, Mladen Lunić, Ana Marjanović, Nataša Kajmaković, Viktor Debeljak, Marija Petković and Slavko Rolih, and of the Supervisory Board: Mira Dojčinović (president), Zdenka Jelić (member) and Siniša Čenić (member).

Mladen Lunić presented the 2020-2022 Work Program to members of the Assembly, emphasizing the fact that the Association could easier organize some of its activities now that it had its own premises. He mentioned that it was necessary to include new generations of children in the work of the folklore section, but also to try to attract a larger number of members with their activities in order for them to be more actively involved in the work of the Association.

Regarding the item on the agenda that refers to the amendment of the Statute of the Association, the President of the Assembly informed the members about the need to change the article that refers to the address of the headquarters of the Association, which was unanimously adopted by those present.

After the presented reports and programmes, we moved on to the discussion under the item miscellaneous. Attendees had several questions related to the items of the financial report, the expansion of activities that the Association deals with, the way the choir works given the inappropriate room at the new location. The members of the Executive Board gave answers and invited everyone present that if they have initiatives that could contribute to the better work of the Association, they are free to submit them with a proposal for the implementation and stakeholders.
