On May 20, we do not only think about the importance of bees but we are constantly emphasizing how important they are for maintaining life.
This year's World Bee Day was marked by the visit of a beekeeper to the Association of Slovenian Triglav in Banja Luka, on May 22, 2021. He brought a beehive, beekeeping clothes and beekeeping supplies. The students learned how a beekeeper inspects a beehive and learned many interesting things about bees. Each student was given a flower that (s)he later planted at home. By taking care of honey plants, we help bees to have enough food.
After the beekeeper’s visit, the children had the opportunity to create. They drew bees, made finger puppets in the shape of a bee and paper bowls. Fly, bees, and pollinate flowers! And give us honey!
