Another international project in which the Triglav Association participated has been completed. The project "Europe is our home" was held in Novo Mesto, Slovenia, from 16-19 September 2021.

In addition to participants from Banja Luka, representatives of Sremski Karlovci (Serbia), Herceg Novi (Montenegro), Trofaiach (Austria), Trieste (Italy) and Novo Mesto (Slovenia) also participated in the implementation of the project.

Our representatives arrived in Novo Mesto on September 16, 2021 and, after the welcome, they met the other participants and prepared for the following days. September 17, 2021 was dedicated to plenary sessions, round tables, debates, lectures, workshops and networking through the Week of Cultures and the festival "Party of All Cultures", fair and events. Welcoming speeches were given by Branka Bukovec, President of DRPDNM; Deputy Mayor of Novo Mesto, Ms. Sara Tomšič and Slovenian MEP, Klemen Grošelj, PhD.

Through various work formats, we have deepened our knowledge of EU institutions and policies, raised awareness of the richness of the cultural and linguistic environment and learned about the European integration process based on solidarity, tolerance and respect for common values and diversity. Participants interacted with people from other countries and recognized the importance of the Europe for Citizens programme in terms of future partnerships.

As a partner in the project "Europe is our home", we were pleased to be part of raising awareness of the rich cultural and linguistic environment in Europe, European identity, promoting diversity, respecting common values and developing cooperation between cities.
