On Saturday, September 3, 2022, we hosted representatives of the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenians Abroad on the premises of the Association.

Our guests were the state secretary of the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenians Abroad, Vesna Humar, and her colleagues Suzana Martinez and Tina Mlakar. In addition, the meeting was attended by Zvone Žigon, Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to BiH and Lucija Lindav Heindel from the Consular Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Banja Luka.

In a relaxed and pleasant conversation, we touched on the projects that remain to be implemented in 2022, plans for the following year, as well as the issue of electing the new leadership of the Association. The members of the Association presented the delegation with the projects that await us by the end of the year. The delegation expressed their full support and assurances that, considering the loss of the long-time president of the Association, the Executive Board can always count on the help of the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenians Abroad as well as the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The words we heard from them meant a lot to us, and we assured them that the Association will continue to be active in the field of preserving the Slovenian language, culture and identity.

Given that the delegation came from Slovenia and headed to Zenica for the meeting organized by the Slovenian association Encijan from Zenica, which is also celebrating 30th word anniversary, we went together to refresh ourselves and continue pleasant socializing with delicious kebabs from Banja Luka.

We wished them a safe journey and parted for a while, until the next time we meet.
