On 22 January 2010 the Union of Slovenian Associations in BiH „Evropa zdaj“ /Europe Now/ was founded. The registration form of the Union was signed by nine associations from BiH:

Slovenian Cultural Society »Cankar« Sarajevo, Association of the Slovenians of the RS »Triglav« Banja Luka, Association of Citizens of Slovenian Origin Tuzla, Association of Slovenians »Lipa« Prijedor, Slovenian Association of Citizens of the Zenica Municipality, Slovenian Association of Citizens Kakanj, Society of Slovenians of the Doboj-Teslić Region »Prežihov Voranc«, Association of Slovenian Citizens Breza and Association of Slovenians Vitez. Together, the Associations gather over 4,000 members. Mrs Sanja Bogdanović from the SKD Cankar was elected as president of the Union and Mr Vojislav Dimitrijević from the Association of the Slovenians of the RS „Triglav“ Banja Luka was elected as vice-president.
The founding session of the Union was attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in BiH, H.E. Andrej Grasselli, State Secretary in the Office for Slovenians Abroad Boris Jesih and Advisor for the position of Slovenians in countries of former Yugoslavia Aleš Selan.
Goals of the Union of Associations include also promotion of history, language, literature, art, tradition and customs of Slovenians; preservation of Slovenian cultural identity in BiH; assistance to members of the Union while applying for tenders and projects of the Republic of Slovenia, the European Union, national and international organizations in the country and abroad. The Union will facilitate mutual communication and cooperation among the Associations of Slovenians in BiH.
