Towards the end of the school year and Slovenian language classes, on June 3, 2023, we hosted the writer for children and young people Primož Suhodolčan in Banja Luka.
The students came prepared, because they learned about the life and work of the writer in class. Younger students of Slovenian language classes first prepared a short cultural program - musical points and recited the song Petar nos.
This was followed by the performance of the writer - with his entertaining and sparkling performance, he amazed both children and adults, presented his literary heroes and confided in us where he gets his material for literary creation. Everything he writes is true, he emphasized, and we wondered if it was really so. With all his misadventures, we have come to believe that time really does heal wounds. The full hall of the Jewish Cultural Center in Banja Luka is proof that the students and members of the Association attend Slovenian lessons.
At the end of his performance, Primož Suhodolčan awarded the students of the Slovenian language with certificates of attendance and book prizes, which was contributed by the Reader's Badge Society of Slovenia, for which we thank them.
The event was co-financed by the Office for Slovenians around the world and the City of Banja Luka.
