On October 28, students of primary and secondary school age, a total of 33 of them, from 7 places in BiH where Slovenians classes were organized, participated at this year's gathering of students of Slovenian language and culture in BiH, which is being organized for the 22nd time.
Students from Prijedor, Kakanj, Tuzla, Sarajevo, Zenica, Slatina and Banjaluka had the opportunity to gather in Banjaluka and, through joint activities, get to know each other and make new friends.
Slovenian language lessons abroad are financed and organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Slovenia, in cooperation with the Institute of Education of the Republic of Slovenia.
The goal of the classes is to preserve and develop the Slovenian language among Slovenians abroad, to nurture their Slovenian identity, belonging to the Slovenian people and ties to their motherland.
The host of the gathering, the Association of Slovenians of the RS "Triglav", organized a guided tour of the city for all students, teachers and companions, so that we used the beautiful autumn day in the right way, getting to know the beauties, legends and sights of the city on Vrbas.
The presentation of the students with an appropriate program was held on the small stage of the National Theater of the Republic of Srpska, which is named after the famous writer Petar Kočić. The students had the opportunity to feel the theater environment and perform on the stage the performances prepared with teachers of the Slovenian language in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slavica Pavlović, Barbara Goršič and Mateja Kregar.
After recovery and rest, the program continued in the Hotel "Ćubić" in Glamočani, where the guests were accommodated, in such a way that three separate workshops were organized for the students, and for the youngest, a creative workshop, led by a member of the "Triglav" Association, Vanja Perić, then for slightly older students, "Lego" workshops, where the students were divided into groups and jointly created a story about an imagined event, which they turned into a comic with the help of Lego blocks. The Lego workshop was led by Oksana Lunić, a member of the "Triglav" Association. The third workshop with older elementary and high school students was held by psychologist Danilo Ciganović from Laktaši.
The gathering was held with the financial support of the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenians Worldwide, the City of Banja Luka and the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska.
