Numerous people gathered on the premises of the National Minorities’ Club. In addition to our members, the celebration was attended by many friends, representatives of other ethnic communities, leading figures of the City Administration and numerous poets.
We are especially proud for having had staff members of the Consular Office of the Republic of Slovenia with us, as well as our Consul, Mr Aladar Belec, who is always willing to join us.
»Ko brez miru okrog divjam,
prijat'lji prašajo me: kam?...« those were Prešeren’s words as an introduction into our literary evening. Students of the Supply Teaching Lessons of the Slovenian Language and our choir “Davorin Jenko” took part in the programme part.
Many media representatives observed this year’s literary evening to the very end and, based on that, we can say with certainty that we have succeeded and in a dignified manner marked the memory of the great man of the Slovenian poetry.
