On Tuesday, February 6, 2024, starting at 8 p.m., a chamber music concert was held in the Banja Luka temple of culture, Banski dvor, organized by the Association of Slovenians "Triglav".
The occasion was a Slovenian cultural holiday - Prešeren's Day. As every year, the members of Triglav made an effort to honor Banjaluka and its citizens with some significant cultural event. This time it was a performance by academic musicians from Banja Luka, led by a member of our Association, cellist Lidija Paulin. She performed together with Marija Pilipović - flute, Sonja Vojvodić - violin, Srna Majar - viola and Katarina Babić - cello. The works performed were: W.A. Mozart: Quartet for flute, violin, viola and cello, D major No. 285; J.S.Bach: Cello Suite No.3; Z.Kodaly: Duet for violin and cello Op. 7. The hall of the Banski dvor was too small to accommodate all the interested visitors, and the young artists tried their best to make the performance at the highest level, so that their performance was rewarded with strong applause.
Before the start of the concert, Bernarda Pleša gave an introduction to the event and a review of the character and work of Franc Prešeren. On this occasion, we remembered the activities of the Triglav Association from the earlier period, when the "Trio fantastiko" and the children's choir "Mladi Jenkovci" performed at our events and guest appearances in the country and abroad, whose members included Lidija Paulin and Sonja Vojvodic. Lidija Paulin has been a permanent member since 2014 and is now the leader of the cello section and soloist in the Sarajevo Philharmonic. She is the holder of prestigious awards and laureates at international competitions and festivals. She collaborated with renowned musicians such as: Aleksandar Serdar, Konstantin Bogino, Simon Trpčeski, Violeta Smailović-Huart, Eva Šulić, Kanae Endo, Vasily Shcherbakov, Wladimir Kossjanenko, Manhattan String Quartet, Deborah Wong and many others. She is constantly working on improving herself and building a successful international career. She is in the final year of his doctoral studies in Belgrade, and he also works as a teacher at the Banja Luka Academy of Arts.
