After last year's participation, the Association of Slovenians of the RS "Triglav" Banjaluka was invited to participate again from June 7 to 9, 2024 in the camp in the Manastirska Rampa Ecological Village in Kovin, organized by the Association of Slovenians "Martin Krpan" Smederevo.
This year's theme of the camp was forest and forest conservation.
The camp was organized for elementary school and high school age children. Many activities were organized for about 100 children from Slovenian associations from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, from the presentation of the Smederevo Red Cross and firefighters and education on the importance and preservation of forests, through a workshop on making models of footprints of wild animals, to the Clicker School of creating a website on the topic of forests. Different workshops were also organized (let's reforest Slovenia, making houses and bird feeders, making forest houses like from a fairy tale in the shape of mushrooms, recycling - making animals from recycled materials, and many others).
The Triglav Association also participated in the organization of one of the activities, namely a quiz about forests led by Oksana Lunić.
The camp was attended by 7 children from the Association and two accompanying members, and the children returned this year full of impressions and with established new friendships.
With the excellent guidance of the two teachers, Rut and Lena, learning the Slovenian language was even more interesting. In addition to education, it was an opportunity to exchange information and experiences, but also socialize.
