We are always happy to respond to invitations for gatherings, and so it was when we received an invitation to a Christmas gathering from the Association of Slovenians "Lipa" from Prijedor for December 12, 2025.
It was agreed that Olga, Ivan and I would go to Prijedor. Not even the fog, which is characteristic of Prijedor, prevented us from going to Hotel Patrija, where we were welcomed by the friendly president of the association, Alenka, with members of the association. The hall is festively decorated, there is a festive atmosphere and everyone is impatiently waiting for the orchestra to start its performance. The president wished everyone a warm welcome, to feel good in Prijedor, to have fun, dine, dance and sing. And we obeyed, with the first beats of the music we all found ourselves on the dance floor. Music from the eighties, well-known, beloved hits lined up, and we really enjoyed it.
Time flies, and when we saw that it was midnight, we realized that we had to go home, because we had to drive slowly because of the fog, and in the morning we were waiting for the Christmas Cake Festival at the Museum of Republika Srpska. We said goodbye to the hosts and thanked them for this lovely evening and wished each other a happy Christmas and New Year.
