On Friday, June 12, 2026, the 2025/26 school year ended for students, and therefore the final classes of Slovenian language were held.
On Friday, 12 students who diligently attend Slovenian language classes at the Holandija Primary School in Slatina received official certificates from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Slovenia for attending Slovenian language classes, as well as gifts in the form of books that are given to students every year by the Reader's Badge association. To top it all off, each student received a sweet gift from the teacher. Visibly tired from their schoolwork, the students ended up drawing what they would do during the carefree summer vacation. Water, sun and football stadiums were the main motifs of the drawings.
On Saturday, June 13, 2026, students who attend Slovenian language classes on Saturdays at the Triglav Association had their final class. 21 students received certificates, and each of them chose a book as a gift. In a relaxed gathering with sweet snacks, we talked about only one topic, which is a relief for everyone after a long and hard school year. It's the holidays. When asked how they would spend them, the students said the following:
I will go to the beach with my friends during the holidays. Marija Budiša
