At the invitation of the Association of Slovenians Tuzla, we participated in the closing ceremony of the 12th Regional Art Colony "Slovenians in Tuzla 2026", which took place on August 22, 2026.
An exhibition of works by the colony participants, accompanied by a musical program, was organized at the Bosnian Cultural Center. The colony brought together 11 artists from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia. During the six days of the colony, the artists created, exchanged experiences and ideas and with their creativity strengthened the mutual and cultural ties of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Slovenia.
The closing ceremony was attended by numerous guests and representatives of institutions. Our Association was represented by Ivan and Ljiljana Memon. Also present was the Head of the Consular Office of the Republic of Slovenia in Banja Luka, Zvone Žigon, who is completing his business activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. All Slovenian associations had excellent cooperation and great support in their work with Mr. Žigon. We thanked him and wished him much success in his future work in his new position and to continue our cooperation in the future.
The ceremony was attended by all presidents of the Slovenian associations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, except for the president of the Prijedor Association, Alenka Uduč, who was unable to attend due to illness. A short working meeting was held at which joint activities for the following year were agreed upon.
