The idea for the exhibition originated with Slovenian teacher Valentina Gradič and students of the Supply Teaching Lessons of Slovenian. In the advanced group of students she realized that they knew quite a lot about the motherland of their ancestors, whereas all sightseeing spots of Ljubljana all of a sudden had parallels with those of Banja Luka. Tourist Boards of Ljubljana and the City of Banja Luka assisted with photographs from their archives and those they did not have were taken by teacher Nina and her friend M. Čujež.
Photographs contain attractions which can be compared according to their purpose. However, some sightseeing spots that would be worth some space in the catalogue are missing because they did not have their counterpart in the other city. Photographs show the Kastel fortress and the fortress of Ljubljana, Butcher’s Bridge and the grave of Safikada - both carrying the same message: love and belief in love, parliament and presidency buildings, monuments of Petar Kočić and France Prešeren and many other attractions. On this occasion our Association issued a catalogue containing all photographs.
Our choir “Davorin Jenko” which marked 10 years of existence this year also performed at this cultural event. A number of media representatives also joined the event.
