The Memorandum of Cooperation between the cities and national minorities’ associations of Banja Luka and Pula was signed on Monday, March 28th, 2011 in the City Hall of Pula. Maja Tomašević, a representative of the Association “Triglav” which is one of the signatories to the agreement also attended the event.
The Memorandum was signed by Mayors of Banja Luka and Pula, Dragoljub Davidović and Boris Miletić, representatives of the Helsinki Citizens’s Assembly Banja Luka and the Association for the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights and Citizens’ Freedoms HOMO Pula, as well as representatives of Association of Italians from Banja Luka, Italian community Pula, Association of Macedonians of Banja Luka, Association of Macedonians "Ćiril i Metod" Pula, Association of Slovenians "Triglav" Banja Luka, Slovenian Cultural Association “Istra” Pula,  Roma Association Veseli Brijeg Banja Luka, Roma Association Istra - Pula, Association of the Hungarians of the RS "Magyar Szo" from Banja Luka and Hungarian Cultural Association "Moricz Zsigmund" from Pula, and president of the Union of National Minorities of the Republic of Srpska.
The Memorandum was signed as part of the project “Neighbourhood – affirmation of multiculturalism and cooperation at the level of cities /municipalities in the countries of Western Balkans”. One of the main aims of signing the Memorandum was to extend the cooperation among national minorities’ associations in preserving culture, tradition and customs.

THESIS DEFENDED

Secretary of the Association »Triglav« Ana Kunjadić successfully defended her thesis »Preventive role of diplomatic negotiations in bilateral relations between countries « at the Law Faculty in Banja Luka on March 16th, 2011, thus being awarded with the title of Master of Diplomatic and Consular Law.

The event was attended by several members of the Association as well as the consul of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Banja Luka, Mr. Aladar Belec.

One of the goals of our Association is to get as many young and educated descendants of Slovenians as possible involved in the activities of the Association. In this way members of the Association »Triglav« provide support to their young members and celebrate their success together.
