Under the organisation of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia and in cooperation with the Association of the Slovenians of the RS “Triglav” Banja Luka, the exhibition entitled “Identity of Slovenia – Design for the State” was opened in the Museum of the Republic of Srpska on Wednesday, April 27, 2011.
The exhibition was organized on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Slovenia. It was opened by Mr. Matija Bučar, a representative of the Embassy of Slovenia in BiH.  The author of the works is Miljenko Licul (1946-2009) a winner of the Prešeren’s award and the best Slovenian designer who managed to provide solutions to link visual culture with the identity of the people and the state. The exhibition presents his works with solutions for the Slovenian Tolar, EURO coins, travel documents, ID card, health insurance card, driver’s licence, postal stamps, graphical identities of National Gallery, the Municipality of Ljubljana, University of Ljubljana, etc.

At the beginning of the opening, the attendees were greeted by Mrs Nada Puvačić, director of the RS Museum who said she was very pleased to see a very good cooperation with the Embassy of Slovenia in BiH.  At the opening, Mr. Bučar emphasised that BiH was the first country where works were presented and it was planned to have them presented in a number of countries throughout Europe and world.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by Mr. Emil Vlajki, vice president of the Republic of Srpska, Mr. Branko Zupanc, Head of the Consular Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Banja Luka, as well as many members of the Association “Triglav” and other guests.
