Seventeen pupils of Supply Teaching Lessons from Banja Luka and Prijedor went on an excursion to Slovenia from 11-13 May 2011. This excursion also was fully financed by the Education Institute of the Republic of Slovenia, Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenians Abroad and the Association of the Slovenians of the RS “Triglav”.

Pupils were hosted by pupils of the Elementary School Planina pri Sevnici, where prior to her arrival to Bosnia teacher Valentina Gradič worked. The teacher accompanied the pupils together with a representative of the Association of Slovenians “Triglav” Stanko Prosen. Pupils stayed at their peers from the school and within three days they visited Planina, Šentjur and Celje, took part at the swimming sport day at Laško, did bob-cart near the Celjska hut and also attended the classes. They got familiar with the way of living of their peers at Planina and finally understood that their ways of living did not differ too much: they listen to the same music, dress the same, some are cheerful and talkative, others reserved – in fact, young people who have yet another common characteristic: they are all linked by Slovenia.
