Promotion of the book “Double-Bottom Box” /Kovček z dvojnim dnom/ of Serbian poets from Banja Luka and Slovenian poets from the region of Dolenjska was held at the Cultural Centre Janez Trdina in Novo mesto on June 17, 2011.
Promotion was held as part of the Culture Week in this town. The following poets from Banja Luka took part at the promotion: Aleksandra Čvorović, Željko Đurđević and Zlatko Jurić Atan, while from the Slovenian side there were: Samo Dražumerić, Blaž Simić and Klavdija Kotar. Translators and authors of foreword of this excellent book Marjanca Kočevar and Zdravko Kecman spoke about the poets and their poetics. The book also contains works by Milenko Stojičić, Tatjana Bijelić and Tanja Stupar Trifunović from Banja Luka and Stanka Hrastelj (the translation of whose book  “Sir, we’ve got something for you” by Zdravko Kecman will be published next year with the support from Public Book Agency of Slovenia) and Katja Plut from Slovenia. The literary evening was well visited and, in addition to literary reading, discussion was held about modern poetics, poetic discourse and some innovations in the poetic language.
 
This international gathering was organized by the association of Slovenians „Triglav“ from Banja Luka and the Society for the Development of Voluntary Work Novo mesto. Presidents of both associations Marija Grbić and Branka Bukovec pointed at the importance of this literary event which had already become the tradition. They underlined the importance of cooperation in other forms which had been maintained for years and constantly upgraded. They announced a new, similar project from the field of prose creativity of Serbian and Slovenian poets. On the second day of the visit talks were held about the presentation of prose creativity of Serbian and Slovenian authors with the participation of Zdravko Kecman, Marjanca Kočevar, Marija Grbić, Branka Bukovec and others.
