Slovenia celebrates 20 years of independence this year which was a reason more for the celebration. The reception was held at Banski dvor on June 16, 2011. The reception was attended by eminent guests from political, cultural and business spheres of BiH covered by the Consular Office. As from the highest ranking officials from the Republic of Srpska in attendance were Mr. Igor Radojičić, Speaker of the RS National Assembly, Mr. Emil Vlajki, RS Vice-president, Mr. Jasmin Komić, Minister of Science and Technology at the RS Government, Academician Rajko Kuzmanović, Mrs. Jasna Brkić, Deputy Mayor of Banja Luka as well as heads of municipalities.
The reception was also attended by members of Slovenian associations from Prijedor and Banja Luka, while the choir of the Association „Triglav“ greeted the attendees by performing the Slovenian national anthem. Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to BiH H.E. Andrej Grasselli greeted the attendees and made a short speech. During the reception pleasant atmosphere was maintained by the member of the Association „Triglav“ Dejan Janković playing the piano. This was yet another opportunity to celebrate, socialise and make some new connections.
