From 29 September to 2 October, 14 pupils from Grammar School of Novo mesto visited Banja Luka. They returned the visit to students of Supply Teaching Lessons from Banja Luka, Slatina and Prijedor who had visited them in May.

The Association of Slovenians “Triglav” Banja Luka and teacher Valentina Gradič, in cooperation with the Society for the Development of Voluntary Work Novo mesto, prepared abundant programme for the pupils.
Pupils had a guided tour of Banja Luka on Thursday, visited the Museum of the Republic of Srpska on Friday, attended lessons at Gimnazija, and in the evening attended the National Minorities’ Review, where pupils from Banja Luka also took part. On Saturday they took an active part at supply teaching lessons – they watched a segment of a TV show “Čez planke” on Slovenians in BiH and then checked their knowledge in a quiz. They visited Monastery of Trappists “Maria Star”, Slatina and in the evening attended the gathering of Slovenian choirs at the Krajina Square. This return visit was also successful. Pupils of Banja Luka were good hosts to pupils of Novo mesto, Association “Triglav” organised well the official part of the visit – visit to Gimnazija, Museum, Monastery of Trappists, Slatina and the Review. Pupils managed well in taking part during lessons. Parents of pupils who were hosts were also satisfied. It is sure that such an exchange contributes to a living contact with Slovenian, which primarily is the purpose of supply teaching lessons of Slovenia.
