Celebration of St. Martin is an old Slovenian custom which has been observed by Slovenians in BiH for a number of years.
Members of the Association “Triglav” were invited by the lovenian Cultural Association “Cankar” to attend the celebration they organized on 12 November 2011.

A band opened the celebration which was then followed by welcome speeches by vice-president of the SKD Cankar and a representative from the Slovenian Embassy and an interesting description by a sommelier Barbara of how St. Martin was celebrated. Following the dinner, musicians started playing and a great atmosphere including dancing and singing lasted until midnight.
The event was, among others, attended by representatives of the Slovenian Embassy in BiH, members of the Society for the Development of Voluntary Work from Novo mesto, members of Slovenian Associations from Breza Banja Luka, Kakanj and Vitez.
