Slovenian Cultural Association «Cankar» Sarajevo marked the Statehood Day of the Republic of Slovenia by organizing a concert of mixed choir «Camerata Slovenica».
Concert was held on 29 June 2012 in Bosniak Institute. Mixed choir «Davorin Jenko» from the Association of Slovenians «Triglav» Banja Luka and Classic Accordion Orchestra Sarajevo were guests who also performed at the concert.
The programme was opened by choir «Davorin Jenko» with five songs of Slovenian composers and was conducted by Professor Aleksandar Jeremić. The hall was filled with people and the audience awarded the performance with a strong applause.
Choir «Camerata Slovenica» performed six songs, while Classic Accordion Orchestra of the Music High School performed three songs under the leadership of Professor Melita Čičić.
Excellent performance by the choir and orchestra were awarded by strong applause by the audience.

Hosts and guests continued to socialize in the hotel «Imzit» over dinner, wine and singing late into the night. Members of the Association «Cankar» expressed their satisfaction by a successful performance of choir «Davorin Jenko», as well as a good cooperation with the Association «Triglav» from Banja Luka.
Guests praised the hosts for good organization of the concert and thanked for the hospitality and heart-warming socialising.
Members of both Associations of Slovenians agreed that more of such events should be organized in order for the cooperation between associations would be even more successful.
We look forward to a joint performance and socializing at the gathering of choirs in early October in Tuzla.
