We made a break at the supply teaching lessons of Slovenian for this school year as well. We gathered on 23 June on the premises of the Association – in the eve of the Slovenian Day in Slatina.

We used photographs and words to remember the activities in school year of 2011/2012, whereupon I presented pupils with certificates and letter of acknowledgments, as well as tests to some older ones.

In the group of the youngest pupils, I especially praised young enthusiasts Viktor Perušić and Aleksandra Špehar, who regularly attended the lessons and thus were the most occupied with all out-of-school activities. In the second group, attending the lessons on Saturdays from 9-10.30 hrs, boys were those who stood out taking into consideration diligence and progress in learning Slovenian, namely Mihael Cucek and brothers Aleksandar and Rastko Zrnić. Ivana Lujić has been learning Slovenian for three years and deserves commendation for eager and responsible work at the lessons, while there is also Darko Đukić, who started attending the lessons only this school year and showed almost the most willingness to learn the language and everything connected to Slovenia.  In the group of advanced pupils, commendations for a very good knowledge of Slovenian got Jovana Dimitrijević, Vanja Prosen, Marina Šopalović and Borka Srdić, while Aleksandra Rogić deserved praise for regular attendance. In the group of adults I especially praised Marija Petković and Evelin and Dušica Drinić for eager diligent work and regular attendance.

In the group from Slatina, I especially mentioned Mihaela and Elena Lunić, who did not miss a single lesson of Slovenian and therefore had 100% attendance, which can be seen in their knowledge of Slovenian which they more and more bravely speak.

I thanked others for their participation, gave pupils brochures presenting our work in school years of 2010/11 and 2011/12, whereupon we sang, rejoiced, and in the end we were accompanied by participants to the round table »Emigrants’ associations as an unused potential of Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina«.

Supply Teaching Lessons of Slovenian in Banja Luka and Slatina ended on a lively note, while the door to the new school year will be opened in autumn by a new teacher Barbara Hanuš. There is no doubt that pupils will on a lively note enter the world of the Slovenian language and everything Slovenian led by the new teacher.
