Have you ever thought about the colour of words? On Wednesday, 26 September, group of young people who attend supply teaching lessons of Slovenian spoke about the colour of words at two events on the occasion of the European Day of Languages. The first event took place at midday in the national Library and the second in the evening in the Youth Centre.

What colour would you use to write Slovenia? Which one to write the Slovenian language? Slovenian is green as Slovenia and red as love. Why did Milan write the work school in black? What other words would be black? Which ones would be yellow? What words come to your mind when I say orange words? How many colours! Almost as many as in a rainbow. The events on the occasion of the European Day of Languages were as a rainbow because it was the presentation of young people who speak different languages.

We could play more with words, their meaning, sound and colour. We showed only a small stone from the mosaic of Slovenian words. Jovana Dimitrijević read poetry by France Prešeren, while the presentation of posters with words in colours was done, in addition to Jovana, by Milan Ćenić, Vanja Prosen and Aleksandra Rogić.
