On 2 April 2008, an all-evening concert of Trio Fantastico composed of students of supply teaching school and active members of our Association was held in the Concert Hall of Banski dvor in Banja Luka. Trio Fantastico is composed of Sonja Vojvodić (violin), Lidija Paulin (cello) and Dejan Janković (piano), students of Music High School Vlado Milošević from Banja Luka.
That evening, young and talented musicians performed three Fantasies of French baroque composer Louis Couperin, Trio in B major by Beethoven, October from the cycle of Tchaikovsky called The Seasons and 4 Tangos – Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer of Argentinean composer Astor Piazzolla. They were preparing for the concert together with their chamber music professor, Mrs. Biljana Jašić-Radovanović.
Sonja, Lidija and Dejan have played together for 3 years, and throughout the period they delivered performances at various competitions, not only local ones but also abroad, and they always won beautiful prizes. We will mention here only the most important ones: first prize at the competition in Italy, first and third prizes at international competitions in Belgrade, and first and special prize at the competition of music schools in Banja Luka. Our students are very successful at individual categories and they always win the best prizes in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad. We also need to commend their success at the 15th Competition of Music Schools of the Republic of Srpska, held on 29 March 2008 in Banja Luka. All students of music schools in the Republic of Srpska took part at the competition, as well as students from Sarajevo and Brcko. Our students were very well appreciated, which is confirmed by their awards. Lidija Paulin took part in the competition as a solo-performer (cello) and won the first prize, while Dejan Janković played in a piano duet with his friend Sonja Bobrek and they won the first prize in that category. Young Teodora Bilanović, a student of the lower music school in Banja Luka and a student of Supply Teaching School of the Slovenian language, delivered a great performance. In her category (cello) Teodora won the well-deserved first prize.
We are very happy and proud to have such talented and hard-working musicians in our Association. In addition to being hard-working at the supply teaching school of Slovenian, they also enrich with playing and singing every show and event organised by our Association.
