IT HAS STARTED.......
In autumn 2012, Mrs. Marija Grbić (president of the Association of the Slovenians »Triglav« Banja Luka) and Mrs. Branka Bukovec (representative of the Society for the Development of Voluntary Work Novo mesto) came to an idea on the cooperation of children within Slovenian associations in the area of folklore. They invited Majda Nemanič for cooperation as a leader of children group at the Folklore Association Kres, Novo mesto, which would assist in the implementation of the idea and later as the programme performer in dancing workshops.

Several discussions followed as well as exchange of opinions and several confirmations after which the interested party started cooperation.

Therefore, already on Friday, 18 January, and Saturday, 19 January 2013, they performed the FIRST DANCING WORKSHOP, which took place on the premises of the Association in Banja Luka. 35 girls and boys gathered ready to cooperate in a group and get familiar with Slovenian national tradition. In order for the work to be easier, active members of OFS from Novo mesto Ana, Anže and Gašper joined us.

We can confirm that there was a lot of singing and dancing in those two days. Young dancers were diligent in following new events and enjoyed the sounds of Gašper’s accordion.

Atmosphere at work was pleasant and relaxed. New friendships were created among young people and they parted by saying SEE YOU IN FEBRUARY!
