On Sunday, 28 April we visited pupils from Elementary School Planina pri Sevnici. They welcomed us by a song “Slovenskega naroda sin” and cakes on which our names were written.

Teacher Nina Gradič Planko was teaching in Banja Luka for two years and that is why she was happy to meet us. Pupils from Planina were also eager to see who will come. We were welcomed by principal Mateja Zendzianowksy. Children went to their hosts for lunch and in the afternoon we socialised at the school playground. We went for an orientation walk in Planina. In the evening the hosts took the children to their homes.

On Monday we went to Lovrenc, where we saw the location where plant gentian grows. It was a sunny day and the walk in the woods passed in the blink of an eye. After the walk we drove to Lisca. We played different sport and social games there. One of them was Pokrajinski igraraj, during which we learned about Slovenia and its provinces. Children learned to use a bow and some of them showed very good skills. Grill masters made sure that we were not hungry on our way back to the valley. The pupils spent the second night in a school gymnasium and in the morning had some physical exercises on the playground. In the morning, they were in the classrooms – they prepared a puppeteer show „Petelinček in čudežni mlinček“, they coloured and made posters with Serbian and Slovenian words that they had learned during those days – posters with words for family members in both languages and posters about Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Chef in the school canteen prepared lunch and it was already time to go back.

During those interesting games and numerous activities prepared by teachers Nina and Tanja children from Banja Luka and Teslić learned many new things. They met their peers who attend the school at Planina pri Sevnici and spent three beautiful days in nature.
