Union of Slovenian Associations in BiH “Europe Now” organised gathering of students of supply teaching lessons of the Slovenian language and culture on the 1st and 2nd June in Fojnica.
Gathering of all students who in Bosnia and Herzegovina study the Slovenian language have become traditional as this is already the 14th time it was organised. Seven schools presented themselves: SKD Cankar from Sarajevo and a department of Slovenian community Kakanj, Slovenian community from Tuzla, Association of Slovenians “Lipa” from Prijedor, Association of Slovenians “Prežihov Voranc” from Doboj, Association of Slovenians “Triglav” from Banja Luka and department in Slatina. One hundred participants showed what they had learned in that school year whereas the aim of the gathering was also to get to know each other better and to socialise more.
On Saturday evening we had a visit – poet Andrej Rozman Roza joined us and inspired us with his performance. On Sunday morning the students of the Supply Teaching Lessons of Slovenian made the performance. Students from Slatina made a puppetry game „Petelinček in čudežni mlinček“, elementary school students from Banja Luka performed „Moj dežnik je lahko balon“, secondary school students from Banja Luka prepared impressions from the excursion – the presented the Soča River and a recital of poems by Simon Gregorčič.
