On Friday, on the eve of the cultural holiday, a twelve-year-old Luka Rep talented in painting presented his study paintings of nudes in the hall of City Theatre Jazavac.
Introduction for his exhibition was written by Zmago Modic, his mentor, and it was read by Jernej Kuntner. Lado Jakša composed music for three chosen paintings on clarinet and saxophone, which in his opinion matched with the mood shown on paintings. And it is so indeed. Visitors were pleasantly surprised by music solo of chosen paintings. By looking at paintings they could hardly believe it was the work by such a young author, because the drawings are really excellent and according to an opinion of amateur, but also of expert, we believe, it would require years and years of experience in painting. The fact is that in this case it is due to Luka’s talent, which was in timely manner recognised by his family who directed him to a special school of art last year. Exhibition in Banja Luka is the first independent exhibition by young Luka Rep and we are certain that it will always stay in his memory. At the opening, he said he hoped to be back in the beautiful city of Banja Luka.
