The Night with Andersen was organised for the ninth time in Radovljica and this year two students of Supply teaching lessons of Slovenian from Banja Luka were invited to the event.

In April, library Anton Tomaž Linhart Radovljica again joined libraries in Europe and world marking the world day of book for children and birthday of Hans Christian Andersen in a special way. This year, together with students from elementary schools of Gorenjska, Aleksandra Špehar and Viktor Perušić spent the night of Friday to Saturday, 4 and 5 April in the library. It was a reward to them as this year they read the most books thus becoming the best readers.

Under the mentorship of librarians, the children spent an interesting night. Following the introduction and a tasty pizza they had a lot of creative activities, and they simply could not be sleepy. They prepared the dramatisation of the fairytale The Princess and the Pea, made dolls for the play, tried karaoke and read texts in dialects, did Andersen’s crossword, played the game Do not get annoyed, Andersen and beautified themselves because a make-up artist visited them. They finished the celebration by presenting everything they created during the night as well as a breakfast for parents, journalists and other guests.
