What was life like on today’s Slovenian territory in Roman times? Students of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian learned about it while solving mega quiz during the lessons, and also while walking around archaeological parks in Ljubljana.
In 2014 Ljubljana marks 2000 years since the establishment of Emona by Romans. We discussed it with students. During the lessons we solved questionnaires about the period of Roman Empire in our territory. We looked for information in books. We sent properly solved quizzes to the City Library of Ljubljana and in that way took part in drawing up book prizes.
How many traces the period of Roman Empire left in our territory we learned on 9 May during the walk in archaeological parks of Ljubljana. We gathered in front of the City Museum and together with the custodian explored the remains of the past. Each student got a workbook and on the photographs you can see what we visited and how diligent the students were in filling in the workbooks.
