On 6 September, in Slatina near Banja Luka, where in 1923 many families from Primorska and Kras had moved, two exhibitions were opened: »From Ancestors to Descendants – Slovenians in Slatina” by Vera Papež Adamič and »My Slatina« an exhibition of children pictures painted by students of Supply Teaching Lessons of Slovenian from Slatina.
Organiser of the exhibition was the National and University Library in Ljubljana, while Association of Slovenians »Triglav« Banja Luka also took part in the implementation of the exhibition. There were many visitors, Slovenians of Slatina, Banja Luka, compatriots from the Republic of Slovenia and friends, including consul of the Consular Office of the Republic of Slovenia Branko Zupanc, who also opened the exhibition.
Close and long cooperation among the eminent library, particularly the head of collection of works outside Slovenia Mrs. Helena Janežič, author Vera Papež Adamič and Association »Triglav« resulted in a successful presentation of the exhibition. It is the wish of the National and University Library to donate the exhibition to the Association of Slovenians »Triglav« Banja Luka. It includes notes and photographs of numerous Slovenians of Primorje and Kras who built their lives in new, current homeland.
